50g caster sugar
180g plain flour
Preheat oven 190C/Fan 170C/ Gas 5. Line the baking tray with non stick paper.
Beat the butter and sugar together until creamy.
Stir in the flour and work with your hands to a smooth dough.
Turn onto a floured surface and roll into an oblong about 1cm thick.
Cut into 20 fingers and place on the baking tray. Chill for 10-20 minutes.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until pale golden brown. Leave to cool then remove to a wire rack.
